We Take “Natural” Seriously!
AAFCO, the Association of American Feed Control Officials, Inc., is the regulatory body that governs and certifies the nutritional content of animal feeds.
AAFCO’s official definition for “natural”, as the term relates to pet food:
“Natural... A feed or ingredient derived solely from plant, animal or mined sources, either in its unprocessed state or having been subjected to physical processing, heat processing, rendering, purification extraction, hydrolysis, enzymolysis or fermentation, but not having been produced by or subject to a chemically synthetic process and not containing any additives or processing aids that are chemically synthetic except in amounts as might occur unavoidably in good manufacturing practices”.
At Mulligan Stew Pet Food, we pride ourselves in providing a simple, nutritious and balanced diet that supports the good health of your pet. We take the word “Natural” seriously when we manufacture our product. We use only natural sources of protein (no items such as "chicken meal” are ever used), human grade vegetables and whole brown rice.
With so many pet food companies on the market today making the claim of being “all natural”, “healthy” or “holistic” how do you know which is right for your pet?
