Mulligan Stew® Pet Food is a natural pet food developed by Jackson Hole Biochemist and Naturopathic Healer, Kevin Meehan. The unique formula promotes optimal cellular health and whole body detoxification. The patent-pending formula is simple in ingredients and enjoys superior palatability. The end result is a natural pet food consumers may feed to their pets with confidence.
Mulligan Stew® Pet Food Introduces Stricter Formulation Standards
Jackson, Wyoming, August 29, 2007 - Mulligan Stew® Pet Food, a natural pet food company based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, has announced a new Company program designed to ensure strict adherence to its patent-pending formula of pet food. "The Formulation Guarantee™ Program is the next revolution in corporate standards for our Company and product line. It provides consistent assurance that our brand of pet food is being manufactured to the precise standards I put forth", said Kevin Meehan, Mulligan Stew® Developer and President.
The development of the Formulation Guarantee™ Program is a direct result of the announcement dated April 27, 2007 that Mulligan Stew’s™ manufacturer, American Nutrition of Ogden, Utah, had added rice protein to the Company’s chicken and turkey flavors as a protein enhancement. The addition of the rice protein was done without the knowledge or approval of Mulligan Stew and did not conform to the company’s patent-pending formula. As a precautionary measure, Mulligan Stew® voluntarily recalled its chicken and turkey flavors. As an additional precautionary measure, Mulligan Stew® Company officials had its chicken and turkey flavors tested with independent laboratory, Central Analytical in Metairie, LA. Central Analytical reported back on May 8, 2007, that Mulligan Stew® chicken and turkey flavors contained no traces of Melamine or Cyanuric Acid toxins. Mulligan Stew’s® beef and salmon recipes were NOT altered or affected.
The Formulation Guarantee™ Program allows consumers, retailers and distributors the ability to review the exact ingredients in each can of Mulligan Stew®. A signed affidavit is available on the company’s web site and correlates to the best buy date found on the bottom of each can. Meehan continued, "It is important to know that I developed Mulligan Stew® out of the desire to provide pets with longer and healthier lives. My extensive research in biochemistry afforded the development of a unique pet food not found in the market today. The simple recipe contains only meat proteins, poultry liver, brown rice, cabbage, horseradish, carotenes, selenium and amino acids all formulated to stimulate both cellular health and cellular detoxification. The irony here is the patent-pending recipe of Mulligan Stew® is formulated to counter the effects of low-level toxin ingestion, such as glycol, or other types of chemicals. Mulligan Stew® assists in the natural excretion of low-dose toxins from the animal’s body."
Mulligan Stew® Pet Food will launch the Formulation Guarantee™ Program on September 1, 2007. Additionally, the Company is currently in development of two new flavors; lamb and buffalo, as well as a cat food line for its feline customers. The Company expects to have the new product additions available for consumers in late fall 2007. Mulligan Stew Pet Food Receives CLEAN Test Results from Independent Lab.
Jackson, Wyoming. May 8, 2007 - Mulligan Stew Pet Food, a natural pet food company based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming ordered the testing of its Chicken and Turkey Mulligan Stew flavors with an independent lab. On April 27, 2007, Mulligan Stew was notified by its manufacturer, American Nutrition of Ogden, Utah, that rice protein had been added to the company’s chicken and turkey flavors as a protein enhancement. While the rice protein was an unauthorized addition to the company’s patented formula, Mulligan Stew voluntarily recalled its Chicken and Turkey flavors as a precautionary measure.
Mulligan Stew company officials shipped samples of its Chicken and Turkey flavors to independent laboratory, Central Analytical in Metairie, Louisiana, to test for melamine and cyanuric acid. Central Analytical reported back today, May 8, 2007, that Mulligan Stew Chicken and Turkey flavors contain NO TRACES of Melamine or Cyanuric Acid toxins. "I was confident that Mulligan Stew Chicken and Turkey flavors were toxin-free. The lab report confirms our position and we are very pleased to announce this to our customers throughout the country," said Kevin Meehan, Mulligan Stew’s company Developer and Founder. Please click here to review the lab tests.
Meehan continued, "It is important to know that I developed Mulligan Stew out of the desire to provide pets with longer and healthier life styles. My extensive research in biochemistry afforded the development of a unique pet food not found in the market today. The simple recipe contains only meat proteins, poultry liver, whole grain brown rice, fresh cabbage, horseradish, carotenes, selenium and amino acids all formulated to stimulate both cellular health and cellular detoxification. The irony here is the patented recipe of Mulligan Stew is formulated to counter the affects of low-level toxin ingestion, such as glycol, or other types of chemicals. Mulligan Stew assists in the natural excretion of low-dose toxins from the animal’s body.",/p>
The FDA, who initiated the American Nutrition voluntary recall, did not test Mulligan Stew. The FDA assumed that all products manufactured by American Nutrition which included the rice protein were adulterated. American Nutrition stated they introduced rice protein into Mulligan Stew’s Chicken and Turkey recipes to achieve the protein levels as required by AAFCO, (American Association of Feed Control Officials). American Nutrition also stated that their testing facility, Midwest Labs, found no detectable toxic levels in the rice protein ingredients used by American Nutrition. Mulligan Stew Beef and Salmon flavors were NOT affected by the voluntary recall.
Mulligan Stew Pet Food Becomes a Victim in the National Pet Food Recall.
Jackson, Wyoming. April 27, 2007 - Mulligan Stew Pet Food, a natural pet food company based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming has been notified that its manufacturer, American Nutrition of Ogden, Utah, has issued a voluntary recall of two of its four formulas - Chicken Mulligan Stew and Turkey Mulligan Stew, (Best Buy Dates: April 21, 2009 through April 15, 2010). The company’s Beef and Salmon Mulligan Stew flavors are NOT affected by the recall.
American Nutrition stated they added small quantities of rice protein to Mulligan Stew’s Chicken and Turkey formulas in order to increase protein levels. According to Kevin Meehan, the Company’s Developer and President, "The rice protein introduction is a direct violation of our company’s patented formula and was done without our knowledge or consent. The irony here is that the patented recipe of Mulligan Stew is formulated to counter the affects of low-level toxin ingestion, such as glycol, or other types of chemicals. Mulligan Stew assists in the natural excretion of low-dose toxins from the animal’s body. By altering our formula, American Nutrition has tampered with our company’s intellectual property."
Meehan continued, "I developed Mulligan Stew out of the desire to provide pets with longer and healthier life styles. I cannot stress how important it is that our product be formulated to the strict guidelines I put forth. It is the foundation of our product and our company."
The FDA, who initiated this latest recall, has not tested Mulligan Stew. They are assuming all products manufactured by American Nutrition which include the rice protein are adulterated products. American Nutrition states they introduced rice protein into Mulligan Stew’s Chicken and Turkey recipes to achieve the protein levels as required by AAFCO, (American Association of Feed Control Officials). American Nutrition also stated that their testing facility, Midwest Labs, found no detectable toxic levels in the rice protein ingredients used by American Nutrition. Mulligan Stew has ordered the testing of its Chicken and Turkey flavors with an independent laboratory. The results will be posted on the company’s web site as they become available.
Mulligan Stew Pet Food Promises Detoxification and Superior Health Benefits
Jackson, Wyoming. April 2007 - Mulligan Stew® Pet Food is the right food at the right time. The current pet food recall has pet parents taking a closer look at what they are choosing to feed their pets. Fortunately there are healthy choices. And, Mulligan Stew® Pet Food is a natural pet food formulated with a purpose.
Kevin Meehan, a Jackson Hole Wyoming biochemist and naturopathic healer, developed his signature pet food, Mulligan Stew® to offer pets a healthier and longer quality of life. The recipe is unique in its formulation - a combination of fresh protein, (meat or fish only), poultry liver, cruciferous vegetables, amino acids and carotenes that work together with an animal’s body chemistry to detoxify and promote a longer life span. The formula has a U.S. Government patented pending, as well as international protection under the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property.
In light of the pet food recall, Mr. Meehan just released an article about toxicity in animals. A critical element in his report states:
"Many toxic substances which pose problematic scenarios for animals are in a fat soluble form (hydrophobic). This creates a very difficult condition for a pet’s system to eliminate the compound. Bile is the primary manner in which fat soluble toxins are excreted and eliminated by the body. The big concern here is that ninety nine percent of bile is reabsorbed with toxic chemicals.
Mammals are fortunate enough to be able to convert fat soluble toxins into water soluble (hydrophilic) forms, known as mercaptate, allowing an efficient excretion process through the urinary tract. This process of converting fat soluble toxins into the safer water soluble form relies extensively on an appropriate glutathione level. It now is clear that adequate levels of glutathione are required for the correct detoxification route in mammals.
Maintaining high levels of glutathione assures us that we are at least safeguarding our animal’s health to the best of our ability, creating a more thorough way for removing toxic compounds from their system. Mulligan Stew Pet Food contains the highest concentration of glutathione found in the pet food market today.
Administration of glutathione will not elevate serum levels however; it will simply be broken down into its composed parts. A diet high in the substrates which make up glutathione becomes important (cruciferous vegetables are an example).
This is the best biochemical antidote regarding mild to moderate toxic contamination for mammals, noted in research today, without undergoing invasive medical treatment. It is also extremely safe with other health benefits as there has been links to diseases associated to glutathione deficiencies."
Mulligan Stew® is a revolutionary pet food created through advanced research in animal health and is at the leading edge of pet nutrition. It is a delicious blend of natural fish and meat proteins, poultry liver, cruciferous vegetables and amino acids which detoxify and assist in a pet’s longevity and quality of life. All the ingredients are free of additive and by-products. Fillers and preservatives are never used.
Mulligan Stew Pet Food®, a Revolutionary New Pet Food, Offers Nutrition and Vitality to Best Friends Everywhere!
Jackson, Wyoming. July 2006 - Before you purchase your pet’s next bag or can of food, consider the nutritional content, or the lack there of, and what that means to your pet’s health and life span. Kevin Meehan, founder of Mulligan Stew® Pet Food based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming offers "food for thought" for those who love their pets: "Mulligan Stew® is no ordinary pet food. This product answers once and for all the question - how do we make the healthiest pet food in the world that will keep our animals with us for as long as possible? Mulligan Stew® Pet Food is your pet’s nutritional answer."
Meehan, a biochemist, developed his cutting edge formula in order to offset the detrimental impacts of aging on his beloved Labrador, Mulligan. "Biologically, dogs have the ability to live much longer and healthier lives. I knew there was a way to halt Mulligan’s pre-mature aging process, so I set out to formulate a nutritionally balanced pet food."
The Jackson Hole proving grounds are brimming with athletic dogs who participate in virtually every sport. Mulligan Stew® Pet Food is the number one choice for these devotees: “My dog, Kona, has been devouring Mulligan Stew® for 3 months and I’ve noticed an increase in his energy when we are out skiing. His eyes are so much brighter and he is crazy for the taste. He dances around the kitchen at mealtime when he hears the can opening!” says Jared Slater of Jackson.
