Mulligan!
Mulligan Stew’s Chief Dog Officer
English Black Lab
1994 – 2009
In mid-August, Mulligan, Kevin Meehan’s beloved black lab and the inspiration for the Company, Mulligan Stew Pet Food, passed away. Mulligan, being the lab he was, dove into the garbage one night and consumed some peach pits, unbeknownst to Kevin. After a few days of observation and then surgery at the Vet’s office, Mulligan peacefully passed away. He was a few weeks shy of his 15th birthday.
According to Mulligan’s Vet, his body and blood chemistry were strong and showed signs that he should have lived a few more very healthy years. This tragedy has been hard for everyone here at Stew Crew headquarters. However, Mulligan’s strong presence is felt every day in the office and with all those who loved him. He was an amazing dog...

Below is Kevin’s farewell for Mulligan:
“The significant part about losing a pet who is close to us is the recognition of the great love and compassion we can bring forth within ourselves.Mulligan decided that he is “outta here”. All of you who knew Mulligan; thanks for giving to him.” - Kevin Meehan
Mulligan began his career as Mulligan Stew’s Chief Dog Officer, at 5 years old. After seeing the poor effects Mulligan’s body showed from consuming grocery store pet foods, Kevin decided to formulate a revolutionary pet food, developed to mirror his personal holistic approach to nutrition. So with Mulligan’s help, a revolutionary pet food AND company were born!
Everyone at Mulligan Stew and in Kevin’s practice miss him dearly. But we know that Mulligan is keeping a watchful eye on us all from his cushy-cloud-bed in the sky!
